Third Times a Charm in 2026?!
I’m back at it again…running the New York City Marathon with Fred’s Team for the *third* time. At this point, you’d think I’d pick a more relaxing hobby, like knitting. But no—26.2 miles it is.
I’m running in honor of my late brother, Tomas, who battled brain cancer with more grit than I can ever hope to channel on race day. This run is for him—the miles, the sweat, the questionable life choices at mile 20…all of it.
But here’s the thing: this isn’t just about me showing that I am a glutton for punishment. It’s about funding critical research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where brilliant minds are working on breakthroughs in brain cancer treatment—like smarter, more targeted therapies, better understanding of tumors like glioblastoma, and ways to outsmart a disease that has been playing defense for far too long. Basically, they’re doing the real marathon here.
100% of Your Donation Supports Research Named in honor of New York City Marathon co-founder and MSK patient Fred Lebow, Fred’s Team brings together passionate runners and supporters to lead the way against cancer. 100% of the funds I raise will go directly into MSK labs, where doctors and scientists have expertise in more than 400 types of cancer and work every day to find new cures.
So, I’m asking (yes, shamelessly): will you donate?
Think of it this way—you give, I run. You stay cozy, I question my life choices somewhere in Brooklyn. Everyone wins.
Thank you for your generosity! xoxo
Cheers, Michelle
